Build the skills to turn ideas into action

Our masterclasses are designed to equip you with the practical skills and knowledge to help you solve problems and master the basics of setting up a business in the UK. Whether you're exploring entrepreneurship, developing a business idea or simply looking to build skills, there's a masterclass for you.

Who's it for?

Open to all University of Edinburgh students and recent graduates (up to two years after graduation), regardless of your discipline or experience. Whether you're taking your first steps or looking to build on existing knowledge, our masterclasses cover a range of topics that will be helpful for you.

Format

Each masterclass is a 50-minute online workshop focused on a specific topic. This year we will have sessions on:

·      Product development

·      Storytelling

·      Market research

·      Incorporating a business in the UK

·      Financial forecasting

·      Investment

Join the sessions that interest you most or complete the full series to build a broad set of skills.

By the end of the sessions, you'll:

  • Gain practical skills and knowledge about key business topics
  • Build confidence in developing your idea
  • Discover opportunities to continue your journey through our wider Student Enterprise programmes and events

No previous experience is required; just bring your willingness to learn.
