Startup Basics (Cohort V)

Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur or simply curious about the world of startups, our comprehensive Startup Basics programme is tailored to meet your needs. Equip yourself with the essential knowledge resources, and guidance to kickstart your entrepreneurial journey. Our immersive workshops bring together students from diverse disciplines and provides a supportive environment to explore your entrepreneurial potential.

This program consists of five sessions scheduled over four days, from July 2nd to July 5th.

  • Finding a place to start: 2nd of July 10:00 - 12:00
  • Validate your startup: 3rd of July 10:00 - 12:00
  • Prototyping and MVP: 4th of July 10:00 - 12:00
  • Pitch Practice: 5th of July 10:00 - 12:00
  • Funding Workshop: 5th of July 13:00 - 15:00

FAQ's

Do I need to attend all sessions?

Startup Basics is a Cohort programme, which means we encourage participants to attend all 5 workshops to get the most benefit. However, you are welcome to pick and mix sessions that are most relevant to you. The 5 workshops are in-person and 2-hours long.

What if I have missed some of the sessions? Will you be running the Startup Basics programme again?

We will be running the next cohort of Startup Basics starting in the new academic year 2024/2025.

Do you need a business idea already?

No! We've built Startup Basics to be suitable for all audiences. If you already have a business idea, you will be able to use the activities to turbocharge your development. Otherwise, if you don't have a business idea, you can pick a "simulated business" and learn the fundamentals so you're ready to go when you find your business idea.
