Early to mid-career researchers - Boost your career with industry partnerships

Edinburgh Innovations (EI) is hosting the third event in the Spotlight on Industry series to help early to mid-career researchers understand how to engage and work with industry.

Join us to hear from an EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account funded secondment from both the perspectives of the company representative (Nick Lines, Babcock) and the academic (Dr Andy Sherlock) working on the project.

You will learn more about how industry collaborations are developed, what it is like to work with an industry partner and how this will benefit you and your career. The session is short with presentations lasting around an hour with the opportunity to ask questions. There will then be time to network over drinks and pizza, meet EI staff and discuss projects and funding.

Schedule

14:30-15:00 Registration with Tea and Coffee

15:00-15:10 Introduction about Industry Engagement

15:10-16:00 Presentation and Q&A

16:00-17:00 Networking - drinks and pizza
