Outline

Join the Nature Finance Lab for a targeted roundtable for the Scottish natural capital developer community on how they can shape their projects to access Ofgem mandated Biodiversity Net Gain in Scotland.

This event brings together Scotland's natural capital developer community to build a clearer picture of realistic demand growth for nature restoration projects over the coming years, and to explore how the gap between that demand and current supply can be bridged. A key goal is to broaden understanding of the funding landscape, offering alternatives to biodiversity credits as the main route to market for nature restoration projects in Scotland.

The event is being run in partnership with SSEN Transmission & Dr Craig Mackenzie, who will outline directly what they are looking for from nature restoration projects and how developers can position themselves to access SSEN’s funding. This is a rare opportunity to hear expectations set out clearly by a major infrastructure funder operating under the Ofgem framework.

Attendees will leave with a grounded view of where demand is realistically heading, what funders like SSEN need to see from projects, and a broader awareness of the mechanisms available to enable nature restoration beyond the biodiversity credit market.
