Startup Builder 2025

Startup Builder is our brand-new programme designed to help founders grow and develop their early-stage ideas.

This year, we’re offering four expert-led workshops, chosen by students, for students, to give you the practical skills you need to build your startup.

Legal Basics - 10 October 2025

Get your startup off the ground with confidence.

In this session, we’ll cover the essential legal knowledge every early-stage founder needs to know. You’ll gain clarity on how to set your company up for success from day one.

We’ll explore:

  • Different entity structures
  • The process of company registration in the UK
  • Key Company Foundation Documents
  • The basics of share options and how to use them to build your team
  • The difference between employees and consultants
  • An introduction to your first investment round

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to firm up your foundations, this session will give you the tools to build your business on solid legal ground.
