What incentivises you as an entrepreneur? Is it the bottom line - as many sales and shareholder benefiting profits as possible, by any means necessary?

Or is it the health, happiness, and wellbeing of your target market, along with all of the other stakeholders that will have an impact on your enterprise, and that your enterprise will have an effect on - including people, communities, places, and the planet?

If you care about understanding & engaging with your wider stakeholders, then this hands-on workshop is for you.

The event is suitable for all students & alumni who are running or plan to run a startup, social enterprise, charity, and/or freelancing proposition.

By the end of this session, we will have

  • Considered what success in enterprise really means, and should mean
  • Discussed what wider systems our enterprises touch on, affect, and are affected by
  • Examined these, grouped them, and categorised them into defined impact areas
  • Begun to understand how to engage with these stakeholders
  • Committed to putting our learnings into action
  • Learned about some other helpful resources

There will be snacks and refreshments.

What is an impact economy?

The impact economy is driven by organisations, entrepreneurs and social enterprises that focus on addressing societal challenges and the public good, which are often linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

It’s time to start closing the gap between creating value for all stakeholders and the maximisation of shareholder profits, by placing the public good back at the centre of our economy.
