Learn how to think, work, and build like a startup over one weekend. Techstars Startup Weekend is an exciting and immersive foray into the world of startups. Over an action-packed three days, you’ll meet the very best mentors, investors, co-founders and sponsors to show you how to get more done faster -- and, maybe even start that Business. We are Edinburgh Innovations, the University of Edinburgh's enterprise service for students and recent graduates. Our vision is to inspire and equip every UoE student with enterprise and entrepreneurship skills and knowledge to help solve some of the worlds’ biggest challenges. We're partnering with the School of Business, School of Engineering, Edinburgh Earth Initiative, and Edinburgh Futures Institute to bring you this incredible weekend. Places are limited, so you will need to apply for a spot by briefly answering the questions below. Please apply by 11:59pm on the 1st March to ensure your application is considered. There are limited places remaining so we would encourage you to apply ASAP.

• Day 1 – Arrive with or without a business idea. Get into teams and start building something incredible. 
• Day 2 - All about validating your idea and making sure you are building something people want. You’ll also have plenty of teamworking time to make good progress on your business. 
• Day 3 – This is the final day! Learn how to best pitch your idea and present your idea to our panel of judges. This is followed by celebratory drinks and networking.

What are the Dates and Times?

• Fri 3 Mar: 5 PM – 9:30 PM 
• Sat 4 Mar: 9 AM – 10 PM
• Sun 5 Mar: 9 AM – 8 PM

Terms of Participation Agreement: It is our job to provide you with an incredible networking and learning experience. Our intention is that you meet some amazing people that you might start a company with, learn from mentors and learn from your peers. The event is intended to be a collaborative forum for sharing, learning, building, and having fun. As such, by registering as a participant, you acknowledge that any ideas shared by you or anyone else over the course of the event are contributions to the overall experience and community. If you’re very concerned, you can limit your pitch to the rough outline of the idea without giving away key information.

You agree that you are responsible in the event of any accidents or damages that you cause.
