Join us after his seminar to ask your burning questions to Dr Ad de Groof, Project Leader, MSD Animal Health about his career path.

This in person event is specifically for postdocs, early career researchers and PhD students.

Please come along with any question you have ready, such as: transitioning out of academia, challenges, opportunities, or careers in research science. This session will be led by Roslin’s Career Development Committee. Nibbles and refreshments for attendees of the Q&A session will be available from 2:45-3:30pm.

Dr Ad de Groof is a principal scientist at MSD Animal Health in Boxmeer, the Netherlands. His department Discovery & Technology (D&T) is part of the Global Research & Development (R&D) group of the Animal Health division. Their research is focused on: (1) novel technologies for isolation, characterization and culturing of newly discovered pathogens that infect animals and possibly humans (zoonoses), (2) novel approaches to efficacious vaccine development against existing and newly discovered pathogens and (3) development of new technologies to culture pathogens for vaccine production.
