Freelance without fear and turn your creative passion into your career.

In this two-part series we will help you explore the possibility of becoming a freelancer, or accelerate your already-established freelancing journey.

This workshop will involve:

  • Mapping out your customer journey and exploring how you can add value at each stage. From brand awareness through to customer loyalty. Getting into the practical concerns such as operating lawfully, and making sure you get paid for your work.
  • Networking with a community of aspiring and established student and alumni freelancers.
  • A presentation from two experienced freelancers, and a chance to ask any questions.
  • Provide resources designed to help lay foundational elements to your freelancing career.

Our guest speakers for this workshop will be:

  • Patrick Gallagher, UoE alumni and a freelance motion design for clients such as eBay, CNN, Lancôme.
  • Kelly Zou, an award-winning illustration graduate from the ECA.

You may also be interested in meeting with one of our 1-2-1 advisers, who can have a 1-hour appointment with you to help figure out what your specific next best steps will be to ensure that you are freelancing effectively, lawfully, and successfully.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact jack.mcmillan@ei.ed.ac.uk
