We will be joined by Katherine Fox and Ross McLennan to discuss all the ways to raise funds for our businesses. We will discuss loans, grants, raising with family and friends, crowdfunding, equity crowdfunding, and raising investment. You can have the opportunity to ask any questions.

Katherine Fox: Currently working at Old College Capital, the University of Edinburgh's in-house investment fund for University startups, spinins and spinouts. Support development and growth of spin-outs/start-ups, with a focus in the life sciences. Prior skills and experience in health innovation using entrepreneurship, policy development, and qualitative and quantitative research.

Ross McLennan: Enthusiastic business adviser focused on supporting entrepreneurs, start ups and innovative, early-stage SMEs, particularly those developing new products or services in technology, wellness, health, independent living and sport.

Come along with any questions you have about raising funds

This session is open to University of Edinburgh staff, students and recent alumni who have already met with a business adviser to discuss their business idea.
